This Privacy Policy explains how TableTap (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects
information when you use the TableTap mobile app and related services (including our restaurant admin portal).
Replace placeholders: If you publish this, update the Contact Us section with your official support email,
business name, and (optional) address.
1) Information we collect
Depending on how you use TableTap, we may collect:
- Account information (Restaurant owners/admins): username and login credentials used to access the admin portal.
- Restaurant setup data: restaurant name, menu items, prices, photos, descriptions, and any “About/Contact/Blogs” content entered by the restaurant.
- Order information: items ordered, quantities, table identifier (if used), timestamps, and bill/receipt details for dine‑in ordering.
- Device and usage data: basic technical data such as IP address, device type, browser/app version, and logs that help us run and improve the service.
- Customer‑provided content: reviews, ratings, likes, and comments if your experience includes those features.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (like government IDs or biometric data) as part of normal TableTap usage.
2) How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide TableTap features (show menus, take orders, generate e‑bills, and allow restaurant owners to manage their content).
- Authenticate users and protect access to the admin portal.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the performance, reliability, and security of TableTap.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
- Communicate with you for support, service messages, and important updates.
3) Sharing & disclosures
We may share information in these limited cases:
- With service providers: hosting, storage, analytics, and other vendors who process data for us under appropriate safeguards.
- With restaurants: order details and related operational data are visible to the restaurant receiving the order.
- For legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business changes: if TableTap is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
4) NFC & links
TableTap may use NFC tags or QR/links that open a restaurant’s menu in the app. NFC itself typically contains only a link or identifier
(not your personal data). When you tap an NFC tag, your device may connect to our servers to load the menu and enable ordering.
5) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6) Data retention
We keep information only as long as necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data (for example, orders/billing records may be retained longer for operational or compliance reasons).
7) Your choices & rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (if applicable).
To make a request, contact us using the details below. For security, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
8) Children’s privacy
TableTap is intended for general audiences and restaurant operations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice (for example, in‑app notice or on our website).
